Due to its large diameter of 1200 millimetres, this entrance water meter shaft offers ample space to fit additional accessories such as fittings and fixtures. The shaft can be installed without the need for a concrete foundation, provided the base consists of compacted sand or gravel. Instead of a concrete slab, the chamber rests on a 15-centimeter layer of compacted gravel. The shaft is self-supporting and made of high-quality polyethylene. It is suitable for placing the water meter system at a frost-free depth and it is most commonly used when the installation of a water meter inside the house is not permitted or technically feasible.
